PRESS RELEASE
POSTED ON NOVEMBER 13, 2017
A woman caught up in an outlaw biker lifestyle who became a victim of a gang war tells her story in a new release. Love’s Bullet: A Wounded Victim in a Biker Gang War Transformed by God’sLove (Redemption Press 2017) tells the story of Maureen Hager’s misguided search for love and acceptance that lured her into the life of an outlaw motorcycle gang. Caught up in a violent gang war, she sustained two gunshot wounds when a rival gang opened fire on their clubhouse with M16 rifles.
While severely wounded, this act of violence was a catalyst for God to work in her life and gave her a way ofescape from her captivity. After suffering physical, emotional, and spiritual trauma, Hager heard the gospel and accepted Christ, and her road to a restored life began. She says, “Often the most devastating circumstances create an opportunity for God to reach those in the pit of despair and pull them out of their brokenness into wholeness.”
As a survivor and an overcomer, Maureen Hager’s passion lies in empowering other women to receive hope, healing, and restoration from their brokenness through God’s transforming love and grace.
Her testimony of hope and deliverance has impacted women of all ages. She says, “You are not too broken; your past does not define you, and you can be whole again.” The North-Carolina-based author continues to raise awareness about domestic sex trafficking, and her blog, Out of the Brokenness, provides hope, comfort, and encouragement.
